The Value of Up-cycling & Re-Purposing

Updated: Jun 11, 2018

I found this interesting little article to remind us of the value of recycling and keeping more stuff out of the land-fill. And I'm not just talking furniture! It's not surprising, as the article mentions, that we've increased our per person share of trash since the 1960's, we've become more of a "throw away" society.

Not to point a finger, but the younger generation seems to want quick, cheap disposable stuff; throw it away when you're bored with it or you move.

They don't appreciate the solid wood desks, tables, dressers and such as much as we "older" folks do. I'm starting to sound like my Mother, which isn't always a bad thing! Please consider buying previously loved furniture, it's got good bones and can be painted to give it an updated look.
